Safety Innovation
We have evolved our safety practices by embracing technology both in the office and on the job site. Our health, safety and environment group has partnered with our business technology group to introduce two new applications.
The hazard Inspection app blends machine learning with safety standards to conduct inspections. Using photos taken of hazards and an accompanying description, over time, the app will reduce manual entry, improve data quality and help our teams identify hazards to prevent safety incidents.
The Pre-job Safety Instruction (PSI) and PSI Audit app introduces a new way to complete PSIs and PSI audits. By giving users access to documents and automatically capturing data, the PSI app reduces manual entry, saving time locating or submitting paper documents.
We maintain best in class industry safety with an average of more than 50 million hours worked annually and an overall total recordable incident rate and overall lost-time frequency rate, among the industry's lowest.
