Tier 3 Gasoline Hydrotreater
The P66 Tier 3 Gasoline Hydrotreater was a challenging build for the Resto Construction Inc team: surrounded on three sides by an operating refinery facility and on a fourth by a canal, Resto Construction Inc scope was located on a brownfield site with stringent safety requirements. The project was to construct a 25,000 barrels-per-day gasoline hydrotreater on the site using open art technology, with our scope consisting of:
- Site preparation
- Civil concrete
- Structural steel with new and existing pipe rack modifications
- Static and rotating equipment installation
- Installation of ISBL/OSBL piping
- Tie-ins feeding the new units
- 13.8kV electrical feeders from the modified substation to a new power center
Against all odds, the RCI team was able to tackle the environmental challenges and provide creative labor solutions to execute the work. RCI established a satellite office in Lake Charles, Louisiana to establish a local presence and heavily recruit craft resources in the competitive labor market. In addition to local labor recruiting efforts, RCI sought support from local subcontracting crews and engaged labor brokers to provide the resources necessary to execute the project.
